About Sila
صلة means connection — the bond between people. We built Sila because finding a therapist who already understands your life shouldn't require explaining it from scratch every time.
Most mental health directories are built for volume. They surface providers by ZIP code and insurance plan, and leave everything else to chance: the cultural context, the language you pray in, the family structure that shaped you. For a lot of people, that means spending the first several sessions just orienting a therapist to your life before any real work begins.
"You shouldn't have to earn the right to be understood by the person you're paying to help you."
Sila is built on a different assumption: that cultural fit is clinical fit. A provider who already understands your faith tradition, your family structure, or the particular pressures of a first-generation life doesn't need the warmup. They can start where it matters.
Every provider on Sila passes four independent checks before going live: NPPES identity, OIG exclusion, SAM.gov federal review, and state license confirmation. They write their own profiles. They set their own rates. They book directly with clients. Sila doesn't sit between a provider and the people they serve.
The directory is free to browse. There are no sponsored placements, no promoted profiles, and no commission on appointments.
We're a small team. We built this because we needed it and couldn't find it. If you have questions, feedback, or a provider to recommend, we'd like to hear from you.
